What is this site?

Plugged In is a site dedicated to my Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls: Five, Ichabod, Po, and Nine. It provides me with an excuse to take all kinds of froofy pictures of them all. Also, I get to make up amusing little photostories and fill out obnoxious surveys and character profiles. What can I say? I'm a dork and I enjoy every minute of it.

Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls?

Yes, although they're most commonly refered to as ABJDs, or just BJDs. They are customizable dolls made from resin. They are ball-jointed for poseability and are strung together using heavy elastic. The fun part about these dolls is (as stated before) that they are fully customizable. Wigs and eyes can be easily changed, and some even come with optional parts (usually hands). Can you tell I sit on a panel from time to time? Ha.

Anyway, the best place to find out more about BJDs is Den of Angels. There is also a very helpful Forum there that should be able to help you out with just about any question you might have.

Why do you own them?
